    Newest Collections: Bookish Stickers!

This post is for all my booklovers out there! Princess and Villain fans too!

Two of our newest sticker collections feature Princesses and Villains reading their favorite books! Both collections come in a weekly kit (sheets available individually, as always), a monthly kit, character sheet and die cuts.

Our first release was Bookworm Princesses, with a beautiful watercolor bookshelf throughout the background and on the washi.

    I love the wash strips!

Of course, the villains couldn't let the Princesses do their thing and had to one-up them, so they needed their own collection...Bookworm Villains!

Each villain has a bookshelf background that fits their style, because they would be reading alone in their lair, unlike the princesses, who are all reading together.

Notice the details in both collections...their chair and book match their personality and movie elements.

Celebrate your love of reading and your favorite character by grabbing something from our Bookworm collection to decorate your planner, notebook, journal, kindle, water bottle, etc.! Our vinyl stickers are waterproof, durable, bold, vibrant and fun!

Now that it's Fall, don't you just get those cozy vibes to light a candle, make a yummy cup of coffee and relax with a book? I hope you're reading something you love!

New Releases! Back to School & Functional Stickers

Hi! We we have some new releases in the shop!

For this release, we focused on Back to School/School Year/Teacher stickers, as well as some non-Disney-inspired functional planner stickers! Of course, I also snuck in a a few new Halloween things...I couldn't help it!

There is a large School Year Sampler (in the center of the picture above) that includes a little bit of everything for the year. If you need additional items, many can be found on separate smaller sheets! Check out our entire School Section here!

In addition to the school stickers, we've added several new functional sheets, each with multiple color options! Click on any photo to be taken to that product.

I also couldn't resist a new Halloween Kit! These Mickey Ghosts are so cute!

    Disney Fun Facts: Cars Land

I'm sad to admit that I have not yet been to Disneyland! We will definitely go one day, but when you live next to WDW, whenever we venture far, it's usually to something other than Disney to be different.

One thing that Disneyland has that Walt Disney World does not is Cars Land! The closest WDW has is the Cars section of the Art of Animation Resort. We've stayed here before and we LOVE the theming. Not only are the rooms fully-themed out, but you can walk around and take photos with the various characters! Here are a few photos :)

Sometimes when a park has a "land" with such a focused theme, it is really just a couple of rides and a place to eat and I am left wondering where the rest is. Of course, I cant speak to Cars Land personally since I haven't been there, but seeing it online and in social posts, it looks so much more than that!

    Where is Cars Land located?

Cars Land is located in Disney California Adventure theme park.

How many rides are in Cars Land?

Cars Land has 3 main attractions:

Radiator Springs Racers: Take a scenic drive in a convertible through Ornament Valley and a tour of Radiator Springs, followed by a thrilling ride racing side-by-side with another car.

Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters: Luigi’s cousins from Carsoli, Italy, take guests along for the ride as they demonstrate some of their choreographed village dances.

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree: Baby tractors pull guests in trailers as they spin and whirl to one of Mater’s songs.

You can also meet Mater & Lightning McQueen!

What restaurants are in Cars Land?

    • Cozy Cone Motel (a quick service restaurant)
    • Fillmore's Taste-In (cart/kiosk)
    • Flo's V8 Cafe (fast casual dining)

What shopping is in Cars Land?

    • Ramone's House of Body Art (was kinda hoping for this to be a tattoo shop, how funny would that be?!)
    • Sarge's Surplus Hut

Here are some fun facts about Cars Land!

    • At more than 280,000 square feet of rock work, the Ornament Valley mountain range is the largest rockwork created in a domestic Disney theme park.
    • Every year, each ride vehicle on Radiator Springs Racers will travel approximately 36,000 miles – which is more than 14 trips down the original Route 66 – I wonder if the ‘ghostlight‘ makes an appearance on the ride?
    • All 22 tractors in Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree each have a unique look and personality to them.
    • The Walt Disney Imagineers devoted more than 28,000 hours to designing the structural system for the rockwork and Radiator Springs Racers show building.
    • Radiator Springs Race vehicles come in eight colors — each with its own personality. The six-passenger convertible features a male or female face, with different detail in the eyes and lips.
    • Cars Land was announced as a major part of the Disneyland Resort expansion project on October 17, 2007. Construction began on what was the last remnant of the original Disneyland parking lot in July 2009, and the grand opening took place on June 15, 2012.

Are there Cars Land Planner Stickers?

Of course we have a full Cars Land Planner Stickers Collection featuring many of the places listed above!

We have a Full Kit for use in vertical planners and a Monthly Kit for use in monthly layout pages. Let's take a look at the Cars Land Monthly Kit in action!

What highlights do you see? There's the Ornament Valley mountain range, a car from both Luigi's Rollickin" Roadsters and Radiator Springs Racers, and the logos from the Cozy Cone Motel and Flo's V8 Cafe!

Planner Inspiration: Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom

There is no question about what the icon is at Animal Kingdom park in Walt Disney World.

The Tree of Life is at the center of the park and at 145 feet tall, can be seen from all around. In fact, as you travel around the park, each viewpoint is different.

As you get closer to the Tree of Life, you'll notice something really fun...there are carvings of animals in the tree!

Disney has stated that there are over 300 animals carved into the Tree of Life...I wonder if anyone has actually counted? Instead of Hidden Mickeys, it could be hidden Tree of Life carvings!

We recently went to Animal Kingdom to take photos of the Tree of Life for a new collection. One of the best ways to see a lot of the animals up close is to walk through the attraction line for It's Tough to be A Bug, which is actually an attraction INSIDE the Tree of Life. We entered the attraction line and just strolled through, moving aside and letting others pass while we took photos.

We even had a Cast Member pull us into the Lightning Lane line so we could get a cool shot of a bear that can only be seen from a vantage point within that line. Have you seen it before?

When we got to the attraction doors, they happened to be open and seating for the next show, so we walked right through and out the doors since we didn't want to watch the show at that time. This allowed us to exit out the back and get shots from that angle. You can also go straight to this location from the attraction exit by the entrance to Asia. When we were back there, we also noticed Photopass setting up for 360 shots, so don't be afraid to walk back there just because it looks like an exit only...you might find something fun!

    Wait...what is a dinosaur doing here?! :D

Another fun thing that occurs at the Tree of Life is Winged Encounters. Standing in front of the Tree of Life, you'll have a large flock of Macaws fly over and around you, from behind the Tree of Life and land on the carvings in front of you. It's brief, but you can catch it at several times throughout the day. Best part is...you don't have to arrive early for a seat. Just stand there and look up!

The Tree of Life is the inspiration for one of our newest collections! Available as a monthly kit or weekly kit (weekly sheets are available individually, as well) you can bring the Tree of Life to your planner!

We even included those Macaws from Winged Encounters in the washi strip!

Anyone Can Cook! Ratatouille Planner Inspiration

Ok, so that title may be a bit misleading, because I kinda stink at at cooking. Just ask my kids. But my cooking mishaps have led to them getting McDonald's, so you definitely won't hear them complaining about it.

My husband is the chef of our family and he recently made us a delicious ratatouille!

As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to move a Ratatouille planner sticker kit up on my remake list! It was so pretty and definitely inspired me when making the stickers for our Anyone Can Cook collection!

For example, the thin slices of veggies were the inspiration for the washi strips!

The colors are inspired by the vibrant colors of tomatoes, zucchini, and squash.

The kit has lots of decorative stickers, including full boxes and a sheet of characters, as well as lots of colorful functional planner stickers. I also added some Mouse Numbers in a matching color as the Date Covers.

Of course, this kit is inspired by Ratatouille the movie, but I could get used to creating stickers inspired by food so my husband can cook more delicious treats for me!

He tends to make up recipes, but even he took some inspiration from this recipe.

Have you ever eaten ratatouille? Did you make it or get it from a restaurant? Leave a comment letting me know!
